Executive Team Building…for busy Executive Teams
Need: Executive leadership teams have unique challenges and deal with complex issues that require teamwork at the highest level. The executive team is more than individuals who work together; but, must be a truly interdependent team—interacting to produce their outputs; and also delivering on joint outcomes. Periodically, it is helpful for an executive team to examine ‘how are we doing’ and to spotlight just a few individual and team needs to improve and develop actions. Executives and the team face a dilemma: as the need to build more effective teams is increasing, the time available to build these teams is often decreasing.
- What we do know from research-small differences in behavior can make a difference!
The Solution: Executive Team building session… focused on issues that the team identifies as needing to start, stop, ‘do more of’, ‘do less of’.

- “If every team member could change two key behaviors that would help us close the gap between…which two behaviors should we all try to change?
- Team: Identifies two areas for improvement if the Team; start, stop…‘do more of’, ‘do less of’. Thus, team behaviors -goal;
- Individuals receive feedback on one to two areas of improvement: Again…Start-Stop…’do more of’, ‘do less of’ Thus, individual behaviors-goals identified;
